We have three types of volunteers: stewards, accessibility, and litter. You can apply at


Steward Assistant Manager

Green Man Festival is looking for an Assistant Stewarding Manager, to assist the Steward Manager in the running of the Stewarding and Car Parking Teams at this year’s festival.

Volunteer stewards are the public face of the festival, their duties include: giving event information to those attending, monitoring the event and updating Festival Control as and when required. The Steward and Car Parking Team is responsible for parking all cars at the festival.

Main Duties Include:

  • Assisting and deputising for the Steward Manager where necessary
  • Helping with creating team rotas, and training materials
  • Attending and delivering team briefings and training sessions
  • Assisting with the setup of site office and car parks
  • Working as part of the Senior Management team, to deliver the safe and efficient Stewarding and Car Parking services at the Green Man festival.

Skills and experience:

  • Some experience of team leading and management
  • Experience of working at festivals and/or large open air events
  • Volunteer management - desirable

Bar Staff

As a member of the bar staff at Green Man you are at the very heart of the festival. Working in one of the nine bars on site, this is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy festival environment whilst making some new pals along the way.

To apply to be bar staff at Green Man you must be 18 or over and need a minimum of 6 months' bar experience. At the festival you’re required to work a minimum of 22 hours across four days and will be paid an hourly rate.

Wishbone Applications

‘Don your glad rags and shake your tail feathers. Welcome, revellers, to The Wishbone. This is your lucky night.’

The Wishbone is a late night cabaret party space hidden in a secret location. We are seeking a range of performers for Green Man 2024. Whether it’s a silly dance act, a ridiculous crowd interaction or wild drag show, we want to hear from acts who can help us create a raucous inclusive spectacle for our guests.

Einstein's Garden Science Stalls

We’re on the lookout for organisations, research groups, and any other science/nature/technology-minded folk that would like to bring a stall to Einstein’s Garden with the aim of engaging festival audiences with their work. Your stall will explore any aspect of science or tech research, nature, curiosity or questions about the world around us, which you’ll bring to life in a unique way to amaze and engage our audience of thousands.


Chefs / Cooks

We're looking for a couple of hardworking, passionate cooks to keep the crew fed and watered throughout the build and break! You'll be working for the festival’s in-house crew caterers who prepare the wonderful grub that feeds the core crew at the beginning and end of the festival build. Apply here at
