“Celtic jangle boyband” The Tubs put Johnny Marr-like riffs and Richard Thompson-like vocals to the angsty noise of Husker Du. The Cardiff-born, London-based band rose out of the ashes of Joanna Gruesome and released their second album Cotton Crown last year and sing variously about OCD, grief, heartbreak, and self-loathing: they thrive on a DIY spirit and air-punching energy.
