Hyperphantasia is the condition of experiencing exceptionally vivid and lifelike mental imagery. It’s also the title of the first album in five years from Manchester electronic musician Lone, on which he attempted to perfectly recreate the music he heard in his imagination: taking every style he’s worked with in his nearly 20-year career — hip-hop, house, rave, ambient — and “amping them up to 11 and firing them off a cliff”.
