As a young teenager Ken Pomeroy opened for Wanda Jackson at the Oklahoma Rodeo Opry. Now the Native-American artist and actor is a fully-fledged country-folk singer-songwriter, strongly influenced by her Cherokee heritage. She released her second album Cruel Joke last year, a record inhabited by animals: coyotes, her dog Wrango, and the Little Wolf with Yellow Hair — the Cherokee name given to her by her Mamaw, “96 and still cooking”.
